Dave,
Thanks for prompt reply. I talked to Donna Scott who reports that Jay
has ben transferred to the Amsterdam Nursing facility for rehab. He
has had a tough struggle but is improving and may be up to being
released in the next several weeks. For those who remember Bette
Stein at CBS, Jay's late wife, Donna is Bette's cousin.

Dear Friends,
I am pleased to let you know that the fourth edition of Eyes Of A Generation has just been uploaded to the internet and you are invited to be among the first to see it.
Over 1100 new images have been added as well as 4 all new sections…Gallery, Archives, Library and About. It is massive and will literally take hours to see it all, but that’s what weekends are for right?
Enjoy and thank you all for your contributions whether large or small!
God Bless!

I just wanted to say hello to Harold . We worked together in the EC department for a couple of years. From there I went to studio show crews. Eventually became a TD. I ended up in TX and retired from that dept. It’s hard to believe that it is 17 years since I left there. My wife Kandy past away one year ago. I sure miss a lot of the guys I worked with. It would be nice to hear from any that read the information at this site.

I know some of you dislike mass mailings but I hope you'll overlook this one. There are only so many times I can write this so please accept this one.
Ann has been diagnosed with an ulcer in the esophagus. She will be having a CAT scan and maybe other tests, and may have to go to a cancer facility in Seattle for more tests.
Ann is my soul mate. I was alone for twenty-eight years then she and I were brought together by heavenly decree. I firmly believe she is the only girl in the world who'd ever love me and I'd like to have her as long as possible.
If prayer is part of you life, will you pray for Ann? If you have other beliefs then will you send your hopes and thoughts for her well-being and to be found not to have a malignancy? She's not worried and feels very peaceful about the outcome. I trust Him as well but hope to keep her for several decades....OK, some few years will be wonderful.
Again, thanks very much for accepting this mass mailing. I'll keep you up to date on her condition.
Sincerely,
Bob Paine

Good News!

Here is some (relatively) good news!
Jay Chicon is still with us and is out of ICU and in a stepdown unit at NY Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. He is still in serious condition, however. I just had a telephone message from a relative, Donna Scott, who sent us the good news.
I have her telephone number, just in case, but I won't post it here.

Hi Dave:
It appears that Jay has passed away. I say 'appears', because we have no official word, just some internet searching to inform us. Bob Wilson started scanning some obit sites, and found a listing for Jay Chichon, 88 of Manhattan, and then another with a listing of a Jay Chichon, W2L** as having died. So, in all likelihood, our Jay is no longer with us. He had been admitted to a hospital with the plan to insert a cardiac stent, but the procedure had been delayed due to Jay having contracted pneumonia. And, sadly, Jay had no family. No kids or siblings. His wife passed 20 years ago. Only a distant cousin, according to Bob. Outside of CBS and the CBS Retirees group, he didn't have many friends either. Jay's wife is buried near Danville, PA... somewhat in the center of the state, and I wonder if Jay will be buried there as well. No idea of who would be handling his affairs.

I just learned that Dennis Maitland passed away on April 1st.
May he rest in peace.
