I have no connection with CBS or Lee Jordan, but I am familiar with his distinct announcing style and saw his name on the credits of one of the Thanksgiving Day parades some years ago. I have to come across your website and I noticed than an engineer a few months ago was interested in getting touch with Mr. Jordan. Well, I found the WSB radio history website and learned that Mr. Jordan passed away in 2005. It makes me sad that a number of staff announcers from the golden age of radio and television are no longer with us. I was saddened also to learn to Bill Gilliand's recent passing. They were two of the best announcers, among many others, including Hal Simms, Wally King and Alan Berns, that helped make CBS the Tiffany Network.
