In 1964 I met Irv Elias, William Craig, and LeRoy Cash and another 8-10 soldiers when transferred to Fort Monmouth, New Jersey for electronic training. Upon graduation from electronics training we transferred via train to El Paso, Texas or our way to White Sands Missile Range. Four of us young guys that met at Fort Monmouth ended up together for much of our military time together. Irv S Elias, William H Craig, and LeRoy C. Cash also then transferred to Seoul Korea being assigned with American Forces Korean Network and would be happy to contribute something about Irv.
Irv received a commendation from the Commanding General of 2nd Infantry Division for capturing a Korean national that was stealing copper and other electrical components from the power generation buildings at the AFKN site, I believe called Pajuri.
