Re: Arthur J. Paldino

WAPPINGERS FALLS - Arthur J. Paldino, 62, a two year resident of Wappingers Falls, formerly of Harrison, N.Y., died Monday, June 19, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Paldino was a technical director for CBS (at 60 Minutes and 48 Hours) for 29 years. He wrote several books on T.V. engineering. He was an inventor and held several patents. Mr. Paldino loved to restore antique cars and fire arms. Born Feb. 8, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., he was the son of the late Frank J. Paldino and Mabel R. Hall Paldino, who survives in Hyde Park. He was a graduate of N.Y. Institute of Technology. On Sept. 18, 2001, in Tarrytown, N.Y., he married Meilian Chandra. Mrs. Paldino survives at home. In addition to his wife and mother, he is also survived by his daughter, Megan Paldino at home; his brother, Frank C. Paldino and his wife, Pinelope of Hyde Park; a nephew, two nieces, a grandniece and five grandnephews. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m., Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, at Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home Inc., 39 S. Hamilton St., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Friday, at St. Mary's Church, Poughkeepsie. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
