Hello Dave,

Just wanted to advise you that my father, Jack Katz, passed away on March 8, 2005 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was very sudden; he was in process of taking a Princess cruise to the Western Caribbean and doing the things he liked to do. He was very proud of his work at CBS and often showed me the pictures ofhimself and his CBS engineer friends. During his 37 year career with CBS, he worked as audio engineer on the Captain Kangaroo Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, 60 Minutes and miscellaneous Presidential conventions, NY Giant football games, soaps and other special events. I'd like to do a more proper obit when I have time; however, I wanted to communicate the loss and indicate the funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 13 at 11:45AM at the Mt. Sinai Chapel in E. Brunswick, NJ.Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Jack and Roda Katz Fund, c/o Congregation Beth Elohim, 133 Prospect St, Acton, Ma 01720.

Thank You.
Bob Katz
